Two Columbus, Ohio, men are facing charges following a traffic stop in Wheeling’s Warwood neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, according to Wheeling Police.
Alphonso Curtis Campbell, 22, of Columbus, Ohio, and Kewai Tyrone Hunter, 24, also of Columbus, were arrested, according to a WPD release, Campbell was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Hunter was charged with being a fugitive from justice and destruction of property.
Both were taken to the Northern Regional Jail.
Around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, a Wheeling Police officer conducted a traffic stop near Warwood Avenue and North 11th Street. As the officer approached the vehicle, one of the passengers fled on foot. Officers searched the area and located the suspect a short time later on Viking Drive.
