DICKINSON — In conjunction with the Dickinson Pet Expo, the first FastCAT dog racing event will be held in southwest North Dakota September 5-7. FastCAT (Coursing Ability Test) is a timed 100-yard dash where a dog chases a lure in a straight line. Located at the Biesiot Activity Center, the event will be held 8-4 p.m each day and is open to all breeds of dogs.

On Saturday, September 6, additional events for pets and their families will be available during the Dickinson Pet Expo at the West River Ice Center. With the 4-H Dog Show at 10:30 a.m., vendors with a variety of pet services and items for sale between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and the Consolidated Canine Carnival at 1 p.m., the day promises to be full of paw-some activities.
