ALLIANCE ‒ City firefighters extinguished a house fire early Sept. 4 in the 200 block of East Grant Street.
Details of the fire were posted on Alliance Professional Firefighters Local 480's Facebook page.
Firefighters said the house − which was vacant − was fully engulfed in the flames when they arrived about 3 a.m. Sept. 4. Crews went into a defensive stance and needed two hydrants to get enough water to douse the fire.
"The crews did an amazing job with the issues they had to deal with," the post said. "We want to thank Sebring Fire Department for the mutual aid and also thank all the off-duty firefighters that were able to make it back in to assist and cover the city for one other call we received during this incident."
