CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A large police presence will be visible at the Bojangles Entertainment Complex and Latta Nature Preserve as the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation complete trainings.
The first training will happen from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8. Officers said it will be a large-scale training exercise with federal, state and local law enforcement, fire, and medical teams in marked and unmarked cars.
The MyCMPD app, social media posts, and signs in the area will provide notifications about the trainings. For more information, call 311.
A smaller training will happen at the same time, this time at the Latta Nature Preserve.
Neither training exercise will be open to the public.
