A school in Haldimand County was locked down for about 90 minutes on Wednesday after someone called 911 to report a bomb at the school.
Officers from the local OPP detachment responded to the school in Hagersville around 1:35 p.m.
Police soon determined the call was a hoax and there was no threat to the school.
“All students and staff were dismissed safely” after the lockdown was lifted at 2:58 p.m., the Grand Erie District School Board said on social media.
The incident at the school came the day after police converged on a house on Haldimand Road 53 near Jarvis around 8:10 p.m., after a 911 call came in about a bomb threat.
Both alleged threats were deemed false alarms, police say.
