The Miami-Dade County Tax Collector’s Office, under the leadership of Tax Collector Dariel Fernandez, announced the approval of a new initiative that will allow residents to make voluntary contributions to support community-based organizations (CBOs) and cultural programs.
The measure, sponsored by Chairman Oliver Gilbert III and developed in partnership with the Tax Collector’s Office, was unanimously approved today by the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners.
Beginning November 1, 2025, the Tax Collector’s Office will send property tax notices to more than 1.5 million properties that will now include an insert with a QR code, giving residents a simple way to contribute directly to these community-driven programs.
