PITTSBURGH —
A fire in Pittsburgh's South Side Slopes neighborhood early Thursday morning resulted in four firefighters being injured when their ladder came in contact with a power line.
The fire broke out around 8 a.m. on Thursday with crews arriving at the scene in less than three minutes. Advertisement
Flames were seen shooting out of the building's roof, but no one was inside at the time of the fire.
Officials said the quick response helped contain the fire to the main building, preventing damage to adjacent structures.
Casey Morar lives in the neighborhood and saw the emergency lights from his window.
"I looked in my on my ceiling. I saw the the flashing lights. After the meeting, I opened my blinds and was like, oh, actually, there's a house on fire," Morar said.
