CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WAND) — University of Illinois football has sold out their third game of the season for the first time in nearly 17 years.
Illinois' homecoming football game against USC on September 27 is sold out, the team announced. The Illini's matchups against Western Michigan and Ohio State are also sold out.
This marks the first time the team has sold out three games in a single season since 2008, and the third time in the last 35 years.
Illinois also sold out of season tickets for the first time in at least 20 years.
The #11 Illini take on the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday in their second game of the season.
