JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - Two people were seriously injured and power lines were left down after a single-vehicle crash on US 19 in Jefferson County Thursday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 11:45 a.m. on US 19 in Lamont, just south of South Salt Road, FHP wrote in a press release Thursday afternoon.
A pickup truck, driven by a 74-year-old Greenville woman, was traveling southbound on US 19 when FHP said the vehicle ran off onto the west shoulder and hit a utility pole.
The vehicle continued through the utility pole just before hitting a tree with its front, the state agency’s press release wrote.
