Come November, a major Texas airport will lose its service from Delta Air Lines.

Flights to Midland International Air & Space Port in Midland will discontinue after Nov. 8, the city of Midland wrote in a statement on Aug. 25.

Delta told MassLive that the decision to discontinue this route was made to “align with consumer demand.”

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and remain committed to serving Central Texas as the leading global carrier in Austin,” the airline said.

This news comes after Delta announced that it was “deepening its commitment to Central Texas” by launching three new nonstop routes from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) which allows travelers to visit Denver, Colorado, Columbus, Ohio and Kansas City, Missouri.
