CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Governor Mike DeWine has taken a different road than former Ohio Governor James Rhodes did in May 1970. Instead of sending the Ohio National Guard back to Kent State or Case Western Reserve, Governor DeWine deployed them to Washington D.C. to help Commander-in-Chief Deferment Donald Trump fulfill his P.R. stunt of fighting crime.

Fellow Ohioan, Vice President JD Vance has been less helpful. Wednesday, VP Vance said there were no “immediate” plans to deploy the National Guard to Chicago, and not because of Deferment Donald’s bone spurs. President Trump has been forewarning sending National Guard troops to Chicago as he’s already done in L.A. and now D.C.
