The national team skipper - who has backed Kieran Tierney to bounce back from his latest injury blow - admits it might be his and some of his team-mates’ last crack at the greatest show on earth.
And he knows this qualifying campaign will probably be Clarke’s final one as well, with his contract coming to an end.
The manager has steered Scotland squads to two European Championships during his six-year stint in charge and Robertson wants to repay him by getting to the USA, Canada and Mexico next summer.
