ST. PAUL — Members of the Hennepin County Association of Paramedics and EMTs labor union gathered at the Capitol on Thursday, Sept. 4, asking for support and change in the wake of the Annunciation Catholic Church shootings.

One of those members was Jason Snetting, a paramedic who responded to the Annunciation shooting on Aug. 27. He said Annunciation was the second mass shooting in his service area within 24 hours, following a series of shootings in Minneapolis the day before.

Snetting said that while shootings and emergencies alike happen “all too frequently,” and can start to feel routine, Annunciation stood apart.
