Week one is upon us, and the NFL will see a few rookie running backs getting plenty of carries on a few teams, but will some be listed in the Start/Sit for this weekend?

All eyes will be on Ashton Jeanty, Omarion Hampton, TreVeyon Henderson, and RJ Harvey, among others, as they make their NFL debut. Although Henderson is listed as 2nd on the depth chart, he will split carries with the starter, Rhamondre Stevenson, for the New England Patriots. Jeanty should see a heavy workload right off the bat. So, without any more ado...

Start - Jaylen Warren

Warren signed a two-year contract extension Monday, and coach Mike Tomlin made it clear Warren will be No. 1 on the depth chart ahead of Kaleb Johnson and Kenneth Gainwell going into Week 1 at the Jets. Look for Warren to see plenty of touches against the New York Jets.

Start - Austin Ekeler

Austin Ekeler will get back on track this year for the Washington Commanders. He is by far the team's best option at running back, who can also act as a receiver with plenty of catches, too. Ekeler had a good game against the New York Giants last season with almost 90 all-purpose yards and a touchdown.

Sit - Breece Hall

The Jets have a couple of offensive linemen who are hurt, and the Pittsburgh Steelers' defense is projected to be pretty stout this year, so I would shy away from Breece Hall during week 1. Plus, the Jets have Braelon Allen, who may end up getting the majority of the carries in this one.

Sit - Nick Chubb

The Texans' former starting running back, Joe Mixon, is out and will miss some time, but we don't know just how much. Mixon is sidelined with a foot injury, and for a running back, that could linger a bit. Chubb is on the fence as to whether he's a good option or not, but during week one, if you don't need to start him, I would not against the Rams.
