U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville raised slightly more than $1 million for his campaign for governor in August, raising his total to $6.25 million since he launched the campaign in May.

Tuberville’s finance report for August, filed on Wednesday, listed about 1,000 contributions.

The vast majority were from individuals from inside and outside Alabama. About 40 contributions were from businesses.

“When I was coaching, I learned that you can’t win without a good team,” Tuberville said in a press release. “With President Trump back in the White House, the sky is the limit for Alabama.

“But Suzanne and I can’t do it alone. We are grateful for every hardworking Alabamian who has supported our campaign and look forward to continuing to work together to bring this home next November.”
