LISBON, Maine — A police dog helped track down a suspect Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area near Huston Park in Lisbon Falls following a reported domestic disturbance.

The Lisbon Police Department responded around 3:04 p.m. to East Avenue, where officers began searching for a person who reportedly had fled the scene.

An officer and police dog tracked the suspect through the woods and took him into custody near the end of Hinkley Street. The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office also sent a police dog team to assist.

Police arrested 19-year-old Timothy Falso of Lisbon Falls on outstanding felony warrants. He also faces new charges of refusing to submit to arrest or detention.

Authorities thanked the community for staying alert and cooperating during the response.
