MARSHALL — Madison coach Ronald Tipton called for his team to take a knee at the 50-yard line following practice on Sept. 2. He asked his players to raise their hands if they’d ever been 2-0 before this season . Nobody did.

Ahead of the Patriots’ rivalry game against North Buncombe (1-1), as the Patriots look to bring home The Jug for the first time since 2022, Tipton is handing ownership of the program back to the players.
