Slow progress and mixed results in water quality in the Chesapeake Bay are boosted slightly with a new analysis showing conditions in the Susquehanna River are improving across all indicators.
Analysis released this week by the Environmental Protection Agency's Chesapeake Bay Foundation shows lower amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and sediment entering the Chesapeake from its 64,000-square-mile watershed, although bay water quality remains relatively unchanged from the previous assessment period.
