A Sarnia man caught pulling up to a convenience store with 54 grams of fentanyl was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison.

A Sarnia man who was caught pulling up to a convenience store in a taxi with more than 54 grams of fentanyl on him was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison for trafficking.

While arguing for the half-decade sentence for Todd Graham-Grey, federal prosecutor Brian Higgins quoted a Supreme Court case that compares fentanyl trafficking to putting multiple bullets in the chamber of a gun and playing Russian roulette, as it is the most efficient killer of drug users today.

“It’s an outright killer, this drug,” he said.
