The Cleveland Browns have had an interesting offseason to say the least, and the week one opponent for Cleveland is the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns have no time for unexpected issues.
All-Pro edge rusher Myles Garrett missed practice on Thursday due to a hip injury. Reporters had no prior knowledge of an injury, and thought that when Garrett didn't come out for warmups that he was getting the day off. No evidence suggests whether and when Garrett was injured earlier in the week.
Garrett is entering the season after a hectic offseason that saw him request a trade only to eventually sign a four-year, $160 million contract to stay in Cleveland. He is regarded as the best defensive player in the entire NFL to some. The offense will be led by 40-year-old quarterback Joe Flacco, which means that the season could swing either way, so Cleveland needs all of its weapons healthy and present to compete this season.
Cleveland will play the Bengals this weekend, and if you were to ask Joe Burrow and his high-powered offense, I'm sure he would be perfectly content not to have to deal with the Myles Garrett pass rush.
