CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - You may have noticed your morning cup of coffee costing more than usual.

“When we started doing this, a lot of our green coffee pricing was in the $1 to $1.50 per pound. Some of the stuff we source now can be as high as $6 a pound,” says Bob Schooley, Founder and President of The Ground-a-Bout.

Schooley says for the first time in two years, he’s had to raise prices on all items, including paper packaging.

“Everything has gone up. Once it reached a kind of critical mass and we realized we were losing money on far more items than we’d previously been absorbing those costs on, we chose to make across-the-board changes. We definitely didn’t want to. We’d never like price increases for our customers,” Schooley continued.
