Technically, the Bezos-owned global giant is ending the Prime Invitee program, which allowed Prime members to share free-shipping benefits with people outside their household. Starting October 1, anyone who doesn’t meet the criteria for the Amazon Family program or doesn’t share the same residential address as the account owner will be forced to fork over a membership fee to continue to enjoy this Prime perk.
