BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of raping a four-year-old child.

Arrest documents for Anthony James Jelks, 25, indicate he raped the four-year-old child on August 1 at a home off Greenwell Springs Road in Baton Rouge.

Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital contacted detectives when the child was brought there complaining of redness and irritation, according to arrest documents. A sexual assault nurse examiner tested for STDs, and the child tested positive for Chlamydia, arrest documents show.

The child was brought to the Children’s Advocacy Center, where investigators noted she told them Jelks “pulled her pants down” and “did things to her.”
