METAIRIE, La. —

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash in Metairie on Thursday morning.

The crash was reported in the 5200 block of Veterans Memorial Boulevard around 5 a.m. Advertisement

According to the JPSO, a motorcyclist struck a tractor trailer and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies say the driver of the tractor trailer was pulling into the road near the intersection of Kent Avenue when the motorcyclist struck the trailer.

The motorcyclist's identity has not been released at this time.

The motorcycle had been reported stolen out of the city of New Orleans, according to the JPSO.
