BULLOCH COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - In Bulloch County, a family is still searching for closure after a man was sentenced in connection with a teenager’s death.

20-year-old Adan Allen Keelin entered a guilty plea to charges of involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct for the 2023 shooting of 17-year-old Kelsey McDuffie.

McDuffie was a high school student. Her family says she had the brightest future ahead.

According to court records, Keelin was disassembling a firearm near McDuffie when the shooting happened. The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office says McDuffie was taken to the hospital with a bullet wound to the back of her head. Court records also show Keelin’s blood tested positive for drugs that night.
