A CEO of a Polish paving company apologized for his "extremely poor judgment and hurtful actions" after being seen on camera taking a hat signed for a child by Polish tennis player Kamil Majchrzak while in the stands at the U.S. Open.

Piotr Szczerek posted an apology on Facebook on Sept. 1 after the CEO of Drogbruk was seen grabbing a hat that appeared Majchrzak had wanted to hand to a boy in the stands. Majchrzak was giving the boy the hat after beating Russia’s Karen Khachanov in a U.S. Open match in New York City on Aug. 28.
