During “America’s Game: The 2024 Eagles,” which premiered on NFL Network on Wednesday night, Philadelphia quarterback Jalen Hurts was asked if he really had used as his phone screensaver a photo of himself walking through the red-and-gold confetti as the Kansas City Chiefs celebrated their Super Bowl LVII victory.

“Yeah,” Hurts said . “It still is.”

Despite a game for the ages from the former Alabama QB, Kansas City defeated the Eagles 38-35 on Feb. 12, 2023. Two years later, Philadelphia beat the Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 to win the NFL championship for the 2024 season.

As last year’s champs, the Eagles will host the first game of the NFL’s 2025 season against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.
