IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) -Iowa Volleyball got out to a 3-0 start to the season in Las Vegas. The team has a lot of changes under new head coach, Jim Barnes.
That includes players representing six different nations. That includes the United States, Estonia, Germany, Serbia, New Zealand, and Ukraine.
Barnes said that the players are loving the sport in the U.S. so far.
“There’s a little bit more of a pro style, so everybody is kind of cut throat and trying to win positions, and it’s not so chummy as it is in the states. They love that about this though, coming here because the girls have been so inviting,” said Barnes.
