CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL)--Three days into his new role, Carbondale Police Chief Anthony Copeland is already focused on building connections and laying the foundation for trust and transparency in the community.

Copeland was officially sworn in on Tuesday, and now, he’s hit the ground running—meeting with local leaders, community organizers, and department staff to better understand the city’s needs.
