House fire prompts heavy fire response on Olive Street

SHREVEPORT, La. -- A house fire Thursday evening drew a heavy fire and police presence.

At one time, 21 fire units responded to the scene of the fire on Olive Street between Centenary Boulevard and Coty Street. Seven Shreveport police units also were on site.

Flames and heavy smoke were coming from the roof when firefighters arrived.

Neighbors tell KTBS the house was vacant.
