CLEVELAND (WJW) - A Cleveland man was sentenced to years behind bars after pleading guilty to child pornography charges, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Ohio said on Thursday.

A judge sentenced 27-year-old Christopher Galaszewski to about 15 years in prison. He was also sentenced to 15 years of "supervised release" after prison, ordered to pay $10,000 and must register as a sex offender.

According to court records, while Galaszewski was out on parole for an unrelated offense, he distributed computer files containing child pornography between June and June of 2023.

Federal agents were tipped off that Galaszewski was sharing the files online through a social media platform.
