Montreal police (SPVM) arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a 48-year-old man following a stabbing incident at a bar in the borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (CDN–NDG) last month.

SPVM said they arrested the suspect, a 40-year-old man, yesterday after a search operation of a home in Côte-Saint-Luc.

He was taken to the courthouse this morning and charged with second-degree murder, assault, and battery.

SPVM received a 911 call on Aug. 9 about two people with stabbing wounds at a bar located on chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges.

Upon their arrival, the police found two victims: a 36-year-old man with injuries to the lower part of the body and a 48-year-old man unconscious with injuries to the upper part of his body.
