Hunt Center moves, says it is unrelated to complaints of drug paraphernalia found on field near school

SPRINGFIELD — The Deborah Hunt Prevention & Education Center has moved from its location across from the Rebecca Johnson School, but the change is unrelated to complaints that the center is the cause of drug paraphernalia found in the field where students play.

“They moved here because of budget cuts,” said City Councilor Tracye Whitfield, who held a press conference Thursday to defend the center.
