It's now Week 3 of high school football season, which means conference play begins for most of our area teams.
As a number of our teams have only played far-flung opponents, it's hard to know exactly how to assess the wins and losses so far. Conference results will help clarify the picture, but until those start rolling in on tonight here's where our teams seem to stand.
Class 5A and 6A
1. Carroll (0-2): Yes, the Chargers still don't have a win this season. But they did hang tight with Class 6A No. 2 Center Grove in last week's 35-24 loss, passing for 345 yards with no turnovers. (No change)
2. Warsaw (1-1): If we're recognizing "good losses," a 28-14 defeat to Class 6A Warren Central certainly counts. The Tigers actually out-gained the Warriors, 326 yards to 285, in the loss. (No chan
