Juvenile dies in structure fire on Loving Way

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - One juvenile was treated for injuries sustained from a structure fire.

The Bowling Green Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire located at a residence on Loving Way.

Upon arrival, crews saw heavy smoke and flames visible from the residence. When they went to search the structure, one juvenile victim was located inside the structure. Fire crews quickly removed the victim from the home and gave immediate medical aid on scene.

The juvenile was then transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Despite the efforts of emergency responders and hospital staff, the juvenile succumbed to injuries sustained in the fire.

At this time, no other injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
