INDIANAPOLIS — Surgeries are being rescheduled for some patients of Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.

On Wednesday, the hospital said it's because of “temporary, technological issues.”

The hospital has not said how long the issues have been going on. One patient, a woman who wants to remain anonymous, said it’s been almost a month.

The woman was eagerly awaiting an abdominal surgery on Aug. 11.

“I had been counting down the days,” she said. “I was so ready for the surgery to happen.”

She had made all the arrangements to prepare for the operation. Her disabled husband had taken the week off work to be at her side.

”I am a caregiver to my husband, who has a lot of health issues and I am not used to being the one that’s not functional," she said.
