The Los Angeles Police Department says it will be assisting the California Highway Patrol with providing temporary protective services for former Vice President Kamala Harris after her Secret Service protection was revoked, the agency tells NBC Investigations.

Harris' Secret Service protection was terminated early by President Donald Trump last week after Biden had extended her protection to 18 months.
