(FOX40.COM) – The Mayor of the City of Lodi, Cameron Bregman, announced on Thursday that the city council voted to approve a resolution opposing Proposition 50 in California.

At the Lodi City Council meeting on Wednesday, the Mayor proposed that the council approve a resolution, and send it to Governor Gavin Newsom and the California Secretary of State to raise awareness of the implications of the proposition, the City of Lodi said.
"Under the proposed changes, Lodi would be divided into three separate congressional districts," Bregman explained.
