GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Outside the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum on Thursday night sat a green 1942 Cadillac once used by then-General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the European Theatre during World War II. Inside the museum, one of Eisenhower’s descendants was delivering a moving tribute to The Greatest Generation .

Susan Eisenhower is the former general and the president’s granddaughter and she’s also an author and policy analyst.

Before a packed crowd of people, she spoke about the importance of remembering those who served during World War II.
