CINCINNATI —
Two people are facing murder charges after a man died following a violent attack nearly one year ago.
The incident happened on Sept. 27, 2024, when Emory Green and Barbara Mathis were accused of punching John Nichols in the head, causing him to fall on his face and break his jaw. It happened on Westwood Northern Boulevard in East Westwood. Advertisement
The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to WLWT Thursday that Nichols died from his injuries in July.
Green and Mathis have now been indicted on murder charges. They have also been charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count of trafficking in cocaine.
