Penn Hills High School held an open house Thursday night to assist parents and students after Dominus High School delayed its opening due to financing and approval decisions, leaving families scrambling for alternatives.
Dominus informed parents via email that the Woodland Hills school board did not approve their request to begin virtual learning until the school was ready to transition to in-person learning. Advertisement
"I was confused mostly," said Kamryn Ivy, who was supposed to start at Dominus.
"They're like, there's no school. But school was supposed to start in the next three days, so it was like, what do we do?" said Kamryn's mother, Kristina Wall.
