UNCASVILLE, Conn. — The future of the Connecticut Sun could be in the hands of state lawmakers, with negotiations underway to keep the WNBA team in the Nutmeg State.
Since news first broke about a potential sale back in May, groups have been more than eager to make a bid for the Connecticut Sun .
Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam has been outspoken about keeping the team in the state, and just last week , asked people to contact the WNBA to make their voices heard.
The Sun are only committed to playing at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville through the end of the 2026 season and rumors are rampant regarding where the team will end up if the Mohegan Tribe decides to sell.
