Republicans hopeful of closing gap in governor’s race as early voting nears

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 News) -- With just over two weeks before early in-person voting begins, the race for Virginia governor is showing signs of tightening.

Republican nominee Winsome Earle-Sears said on CNN this week that her experience as lieutenant governor has prepared her for the state’s highest office.
