The Dunbar community will come together for two candlelight vigils in honor of 9-year-old Renesmay Eutsey.

Renesmay was reported missing Wednesday before her body was later discovered in the Youghiogheny River.

The child’s adoptive parent, 31-year-old Kourtney Eutsey, is charged with criminal homicide .

“For her to be found … they’re monsters. They’re monsters,” Fletcher said.

Fletcher said her niece is Renesmay’s biological mother. The child was in the care of her other niece, Sarah Shipley.

According to Fayette County District Attorney Michael Aubele, Shipley was the court-ordered custodian of Renesmay and was in a relationship with Eutsey.
