ROBBINSDALE, Minn. — Four months after a young woman was shot in the head at Sanborn Park in Robbinsdale, her family and friends continue pushing for answers and demanding justice in her case. Nineteen-year-old Amarie Alowonle was shot on May 4 at approximately 9:30 p.m. and passed away from her injuries one week later.
Alowonle's loved ones were joined by lawmakers and members of law enforcement on Thursday evening at a vigil honoring her life. Four months later, no one has been arrested in connection with Alowonle's death.
