The ACT Supreme Court has found the strip search of an Aboriginal woman at Canberra's jail in 2021 was illegal and breached the territory's Human Rights Act.

Julianne Williams brought the action against the Alexander Maconochie Centre (AMC) after she was strip-searched in a toilet by two prison guards.
