Trinity College of Health Sciences in Nsanje has issued a stern warning to its students over the misuse of mobile phones and unprofessional behavior while on clinical placement.
A letter signed by the College Principal, Godrick Chipondeponde, and seen by this publication, reveals that some students have been recorded dancing to music while in hospital wards. These video clips were subsequently shared on social media platforms.
“As outlined in the Students’ Handbook and Clinical Policy, the use of technological devices during class and clinical placements is strictly prohibited,” stated Chipondeponde.
He further referenced Section Nine of the Students’ Handbook, which explicitly bans the use of mobile phones and earphones during clinical hours.
