Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney has declared her love for her 90s popstar pal after joining them for a big moment in Manchester.

The actress is currently best known for playing Cassie Plummer in the ITV soap, decades after she shot to fame in the Channel 4 soap, Brookside, as Lindsey Corkhill.

It was back in January that Claire first revealed she and Ian 'H' Watkins go back decades as she paid tribute to their long-standing friendship.

Taking to Instagram, Claire shared pictures of the pair taken as they came together to say a heartbreaking goodbye to their friend, The Vivienne, following the drag performer's death, aged 32.

In one photo, Claire could be seen planting a kiss on Steps star H's cheek before another showed them smiling for the camera.
