A popular cake shop will be opening a new location in Manchester this weekend with 100 free slices to be handed out to mark the big occasion.

Cake Box first opened in East London in 2008 with a focus on baking 100% egg-free cakes. The brand now has around 250 stores across the country, including shops in Cheetham Hill, in the Arndale, Harpurhey and Didsbury .

On Saturday (September 6), Cake Box will officially open its new location in Wythenshawe . Located on Hollyhedge Road, the bakery will feature a range of celebration cakes, cupcakes, brownies and cheesecakes.

It will also offer a one-hour click and collect service on select celebration cakes and treats for any last-minute orders. Creating new jobs in the local area, the new store will open its doors from 11am.
