Dundee residents have been urged to keep doors and windows shut this morning as thick smoke billows from a major fire at Riverside Recycling Centre in the west of the city.
The blaze broke out in the early hours at the facility on Wright Avenue, with three fire crews currently battling the flames. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed there are no reported injuries.
A spokesperson said: "We have three fire appliances in attendance at a recycling centre fire on Wright Avenue, Dundee .
Due to smoke in the area, residents in Dundee , Newport and Tayport are advised to keep windows and doors closed. Firefighters are working to extinguish the fire. There are no reported casualties."
